I posted this picture from June (actually posted here in July) of the chairs we purchased recently. This is a picture of the 2 chairs still sitting in the store, pre-purchase.
This is a picture of one of our new side tables. I got 2 side tables and a coffee table for less than $100 a few weeks ago at the Salvation Army. Lane Furniture from Altavista, VA stamped right on the bottom.
Notice anything? Our new side tables were the same ones (not the EXACT SAME TABLES, but the same model) displayed with the chairs in the store! How crazy is that? Mid-Century Salvage had restored one of theirs, to show what amazing work they do. Both of ours are still un-done. Actually they're in good enough shape that I don't think I will redo them in the foreseeable future.
Also here's the coffee table, still in the Salvation Army. I LOVE THIS TABLE! It's exactly what I was looking for!
I left this table there at $60 (probably could have gotten it for $50), based on Jim's dislike for it. I think in hindsight it was a good idea to leave it, though I do think it's an interesting piece. The glass +child = potential problem (though I think older kids are actually more of a risk than JJ's age). What do you guys think? Would you have purchased this one?
