Every good Halloween begins with 2 things: a great costume and a great pumpkin. So when I went to visit my parents in mid-October, we were on the hunt for both. For our Halloween party, Jim, JJ, and I were dressing up together as Dr. Frankenstein (JJ), Frankenstein's monster (Jim), and the Bride of Frankenstein (Megan). JJ also got a monkey costume from his MoMo and Grandaddy that he was going to wear for his daycare party. So we had to find a lab coat to complete his look, a blazer for Jim, and a dress for me, and we found all three of them in King George County at my parents' favorite thrift stores. With costumes complete, Mom, Bob, JJ, and I went on to Westmoreland Berry Farm to the pumpkin patch! JJ and I had a great time, and we got 2 awesome pumpkins. JJ loved playing around in the grass and dirt in his overalls. He looked like such a little farmer!
Eating with GG!
The view from the picnic tables. Isn't this gorgeous?
JJ eye-ing my peach melba sundae! It was sooooo delicious!

JJ loves swinging! Hooray!
JJ as a monkey!
Inside playing with his abacus! JJ loves doing math!
I of course got no pictures of JJ as Dr. Frankenstein or of Jim as Frankenstein's monster. And I dressed as a hippie, because I deemed my costume too much of a pain in the butt as I scrambled to finish getting ready for our party. It was fine, and we all had a great time, which is what Halloween is all about. And also, we have a lot of candy, which is also what Halloween is about. :)
JJ looks adorable as a monkey (or just as JJ :) I'm glad you had a fun Halloween!
